His siblings included Sarah (23), Isabella (21), John (17), Moses (14), and Rueben (7).  I wonder what became of this lad.

RA1852-????                   Adoniram (Adonoram) Judson Elzy, Physician                     MS/TX

One hundred thirty years ago most census material was recorded phonetically and thus we have several spellings for this entry: Adonoram J. Elzy; Adonoram J. Elz; Adoniram Judson Elizey.  The 1900 census reports he is 47 years old living at Justice Precinct 5 in Milam, Texas.  He is a white male who married Georgia T Elzy in 1881.  Their at-home children include: Bernard (17); Georgia (15); Adonaran (13); Berry (11); Francis (9); Carol (6); Cranfell (5); and Eric (2).  The record says he is a physician who has been unemployed for 4 months in the past year.  He owns his own house and farm and is literate in English.

RA1853-????                    Adoniram Judson Drake, Teamster                     NJ/IL

The U.S. Census of 1910 reports on Adoniram Judson Drake who is 57 years old, was born in New Jersey, and is now living at 11B Sprue Street, Delavan Ward 3, Tazewell, Illinois. The 1920 Census of the United States reports on sixty-six year old Adoniram (also spelled Adoniran and Adaniron) Judson Davison who owned a store and was a merchant in Cliquot, Polk County, Missouri.  Though he was born in Illinois in 1854, both his parents were born in England. The census reports that he was a literate white male married to Kate Davison (57). Sharing their home are two grandchildren, Weldon D Curron (15) and Dudley L Curron (13).

The 1871 Census of Canada reports on the family of Jacob (51) and Jane F Denton (50) living in Sandy Cove, Digby County, Nova Scotia.  This Baptist farm family sports 3 children Elmira J Nichols (22), Adoniram J Nichols (17), and Sarah H Nichols (14). With children named Nichols, I will assume that their mother, Jane, was previously married to a man named Nichols and brought these three children into a new marriage to Jacob Denton. At one point, the middle-child son is listed as Adoniram Judson Denton.

RA1855-????          Adonaron (Adoniram) Judson Scott, Child                     Indiana

The 1910 U. S. Federal Census reports that Adoniram Judson Head was 55 years old thus placing his birth in 1855.  Several spellings were used 170 years ago to identify him including Momone Head, Adoniron Judson, and Adoniram J. Head. From the census we can glean that he was born in Georgia in 1855, the birthplace of both his parents.  In 1910 he lived in Justice Precinct 8, Wood County, Texas, which is east of Dallas. He was a literate general farmer who had been married for 22 years to Beda M Head. Living at the home in 1910 were two sons, Higdon (21) and Jacob (18), plus two daughters, Bethany (16), and Tobithy (13).
