The 1920 census reports on 69-year-old Adoniram (also spelled Adoniran and Adaniron) Judson Davison as a literate white male who owned a store and was a merchant in Cliquot, Polk County, Missouri. His parents, Alpheus and Bithia Wheeler Davison, immigrated from England and moved to Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, where Adoniram was born on 6 February 1853. He had one sister named Mary Emma Davison Reel ( 1859-1942). Judd, as he was known by the public, married Katharine (Kate) Sophia Copeland (1853-1941) and they had one daughter, Beulah Davison. Beulah died at age 36 (1884-1912) and her two children, Weldon D. Curran (15) and Dudley L. Curran (13), were living with the Davisons at 415 Clevenger Street in Carthage, MO, during the 1920 census. Adoniram died at age 82 on 14 April 1935 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri.[1]
