Judson C was born in 2014.[i] When asked why this child was named for pioneering Baptist missionary Adoniram Judson, his travel agent father replied:
After we got married, I fell sick with mono and laid around for a week with no energy. During this time, I read To the Golden Shore and was deeply touched at times to the point of tears by the faith, sacrifice, and courage of Adoniram Judson and his three wives. I especially appreciate Adoniram’s faith to respond to God’s call in the face of much opposition, to persevere in faith against incredible challenges, to live in light of eternity, and to make it all about Jesus. I pray that my son will have a similarly robust faith in God.[ii]
