Adoniram Judson Talbot was born on 31 July 1855, in Calhoun, Arkansas. His father, Green Berry Talbot, was a Baptist preacher and 32 years old at his birth. His mother, Mary Ellen Brawner, was 30 years old. He was number 5 of 8 children born to this couple. Adoniram Judson Talbot married Sallie Ruth Ricks on 10 February 1881, in Calhoun, Arkansas. They were the parents of at least 8 sons but only 3 lived beyond age 2. Following the footsteps of his father, Rev. Talbot became a Baptist preacher. He lived in Franklin Rural Municipality, Manitoba, Canada in 1900 and then in Jackson Township, Calhoun, Arkansas, for about 20 years. He died on 7 March 1935, in Calhoun, Arkansas, at the age of 79, and was buried there. His wife, Sallie, died 5 years later. [1]
