When Adoniram Judson Cushman was born on 23 October 1835, in Monson, Piscataquis County, Maine, his father, Alexander Cushman (1807-1860), was 28 years old as was his mother, Jennett Bray (1807-1852). Adoniram had 2 sisters and a brother. He married Huldah Ann Shaw on 20 May 1869, in Monson, and in 1860, he lived in Waterville, Kennebec County, Maine. He was a tailor and owned his own home according to the 1900 census. He died on 2 April 1915, in Monson, Maine, at the age of 79. [1]
