Adoniram Judson White

First: When Adoniram Judson White was born on 29 December 1820, in Sutton, Massachusetts, his father, Noah White, was 40 and his mother, Julia Slocomb, was 41. He married Lucy P. Stockwell (1826-1919) on 6 September 1842, in Sutton. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. On November 23, 1868, he married Charlotte L. Simonds (1840-1919). In the 1880 census Adoniram and Charlotte were keeping house together in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. The handwriting of the 1880 census taker lists Mr. White’s career as something like “Obuser House Concreter” though such an occupation is doubted. Ten years later, the Whites were residing in East Longmeadow. Adoniram Judson White died on 12 December 1901, in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, just two weeks before his 81st birthday. He was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery.[1]
Second: There is a second Adoniram Judson White (30 January 1819 to 9 August 1883) who is buried in Foxborough, Norfolk County, MA. His parents were Simeon White and Polly Copeland. Their fourth child was named Adoniram Judson White and his wife was Louisa Adeline Fletcher (1824?-24 May 1904).[2]
